Karla Pem is a research engineer in biostatistics who obtained her master’s degree in 2026, after studying at University College of London and the University of Besançon.
She first joined the UMQVC at Besançon’s University Hospital during her first-year master’s internship, she worked on the complementarity of CEA and CA19-9 as prognostic factors for pancreatic cancer. She then completed her work-study placement at the Caisse d’Allocations Familiales de la Côte-d’Or (CAF 21), where she worked as a socio-economic studies engineer.
She
returned to the UMQVC in October 2026.
